That said, I recently read a brief article about Celtic vampire mythology that mentions the dreach-fhoula, pronounced droc'ola, which means "bad" or "tainted blood." In modern times it's taken to mean a blood feud or even a location, but older translations connect it to a type of blood-drinking Sidhe or daoine maith. This may have contributed to the title Dracula and the character by the same name.
